Healthy Lawns-Healthy People is a Citizens For A Clean Caledon subcommittee. We are a volunteer, non-profit group of concerned citizens committed to the education of the public about the health and environmental consequences of indiscriminate cosmetic pesticide use. We are also committed to the promotion and implementation of natural alternative lawn care products and procedures.

We launched an innovative venture three years ago called the Weedgee Kidz. We hire university students with an interest in the environment and solicit volunteers from the local high schools to go to homes that have made appointments and demonstrate verbally and physically the methods of organic lawn care. This has become a very successful project.

We meet the first Thursday of every month except in July and August at 7 pm at the Town Administrative building in Caledon East. All are welcome. For more information, contact Paddy Running-Horan at horans@rogers.com.
